“Great photography is about depth of feeling, not depth of field.” – Peter Adams
Photographer Harry Callahan said "To be a photographer, one must photograph. No amount of book learning, no checklist of seminars attended, can substitute for the simple act of making pictures. Experience is the best teacher of all. And for that, there is no guarantee that one will become an artist. Only the journey matters"
I am beyond excited to help you down the road of your photography journey. Being that teaching photography is a new journey for me, I look forward to travelling the road of learning together! It is my goal to help photography enthusiasts such as yourself push toward their photography goals. Whether you just want to understand the basic principles of photography or you want to master the perfect portrait, it is my goal to help you achieve images that you are proud of. These days, the world of photography is very saturated with photographers of all levels. There are about a million and one tutorials for everything you can imagine from which camera to buy, to how to shoot with your iPhone! Personally, I learn best from DOING. When I first considered going down the teaching path, I was worried that I didn't have enough knowledge. Let's be honest, I'm still worried about that. But after my first few workshops, I settled into a rhythm that just feels good. It feels good to help people. To connect with people through photography has been absolutely amazing. i look forward to where the path takes us, I guarantee that there will be some amazing images along the way!
